Make a heart decoration using simple salt dough ingredients, ready for Valentines day next month!

Over Christmas we made LOADS of salt dough decorations and became a bit obsessed with salt dough in general. After a few weeks break, I decided it was time for us to make a new batch and as Ava was desperate to try out our new heart cutters, a valentines decoration it was! Once we had made and cooked the dough it was time for decorating with lots of pink paint, sequins and glitter. Both girls loved decorating the hearts and Olivia was very excited to be reunited with the glitter again! Finally once the hearts were dry, I threaded them onto some red and pink ribbon (with heart prints on of course!).

What you need:

• Salt dough ingredients (1 cup salt, 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup of water)
• heart shape cutters in a variety of sizes
• a variety of different shades of pink and red paints
• heart confetti
• red and silver glitter
• pink sequins
• ribbon
