Christmas Playdough

Make some festive playdough to keep those little hands busy, as they explore the sights and smells of Christmas!

The girls both loved this playdough activity; using the christmas cutters, decorating the Christmas trees and making snowmen. Ava then asked for a baking tray and made some playdough mince pies which we then had to all pretend to eat!

What we used:

  • flour, cream of tartar, oil, salt, water (see our playdough recipe here)
  • food colouring and metallic paints
  • christmas cutters
  • cinnamon
  • peppermint essence
  • glitter
  • googly eyes
  • buttons
  • sparkly pipe cleaners
  • christmas beads

Great for:

  • sensory play: exploring textures, smells and visual sights
  • building strength in hands and fingers
  • creativity and imagination
